Where we started
KRISTINE JOY CALUYA began with a chest freezer, a set of scales and a simple frustration: the seafood available around Mermaid Waters was either frozen so long it had lost its texture or priced for a restaurant kitchen.
We started buying small lots of lobster tails and scampi from importers we could visit in person, packing them at home, and delivering them ourselves along the Gold Coast.
What we sell, and what we refuse to sell
Today the range covers lobster tails, langoustine scampi, black tiger prawns, hairy crab, mantis shrimp, razor clams, sea snails, clams, squid and sea cucumber. Every line is frozen once, at peak freshness, and held at or below minus eighteen degrees until it reaches you.
We do not buy broken or refrozen stock, and we do not stretch a batch by adding water or glaze beyond what the species needs. If a lot does not look right when it is unpacked, it does not go on the site.
How an order reaches your kitchen
Orders placed before midday are usually packed the same day in an insulated liner with enough gel to hold temperature for the journey. Parcels leave Mermaid Waters within one to three business days, and transit across Queensland and northern New South Wales is estimated at seven to fourteen business days.
If anything arrives thawed, damaged or simply not what you expected, write to service@noblepedigree.shop within 48 hours with a photograph and we will replace or refund it.
Who you are buying from
KRISTINE JOY CALUYA is the business name on every invoice, and the address on it is 6 Compass Court, Mermaid Waters QLD 4218. The phone number, +61 439 702 581, reaches the same small team that packs the boxes.
We would rather sell ten things properly than a hundred things badly, and we would rather answer an awkward question before you order than fix it afterwards.
